The International Tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s THE SOUND OF MUSIC, produced by Broadway International Group, has made its Hong Kong Premiere from 16 April till 9 June, 2004. It is the first Broadway production performed at the magnificent Grand Theatre, Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District. It also happened to be the occasion for celebrating the 65th Anniversary of this beloved classic.
Led by three-time Tony Award Winner Director Jack O’Brien, this sparkling production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC is produced by an all-Broadway creative team, who fuses refreshing creativity within the original framework that earned long-standing acclaim for both the Broadway musical and the Hollywood film.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC is also one of the first international musicals in this scale (64 performances) performing in Hong Kong after 2020.
